Chatsworth is a privately run residential home for 26 people, set in a Victorian house on Dormy Avenue with gardens, a patio and a conservatory. Most of the people living here have dementia, at every different stage. We run an open house policy, so family and friends are welcome at any time of day. We would far rather you walked in and saw us as we really are than waited for an appointment.

Every meal is cooked fresh in our own kitchen
Vegetables, fruit and salad arrive fresh each day and our cooks bake through the week. Mealtimes are flexible. We encourage people to eat together in the dining room because it keeps them in company, but anyone who would rather eat in their own room is welcome to. Diabetic and soft diets are catered for, menus change with the seasons, and residents tell us what they would like to see on them.
Visit whenever you like, we do not keep visiting hours
Keeping in touch with family matters more than almost anything else here, so we leave visiting open. You are welcome to take your relative out for an hour, a day, or a holiday, and we will lend you a wheelchair. There is wi fi throughout the home and computer equipment chosen for people with dementia, so residents can email and video call wherever their family happens to be.
